What Happens On Arrival

When a car arrives with us, it is not simply parked and forgotten. We carry out a proper intake process so both you and we know exactly how the car arrived, where it is being stored and what needs to be watched. The car is checked, photographed and recorded before being placed carefully into storage.

Our intake process typically includes:

• Recording the mileage, registration, keys and basic vehicle details
• Photographing the car on arrival
• Noting visible condition, marks or areas of concern
• Checking fuel level and general presentation
• Connecting a battery conditioner where appropriate
• Storing the car indoors in a secure, dehumidified environment
• Keeping clear notes so the car can be checked, prepared or accessed when needed

For longer-term Porsche storage this matters, because small things are far easier to deal with when they are noticed early. Battery condition, damp, tyres, fluid leaks and general presentation are all part of the reason owners choose proper car storage rather than leaving a car in a garage, barn or underground car park. For annual programme clients, we can also provide periodic condition reports digitally, giving you a regular written update on the car while it is with us.

Our facility is indoors, secure and dehumidified, which matters whether your Porsche is a classic air-cooled car, a modern 911, a GT model, a Boxster, a Cayman or something you have owned and cared for over many years.

The building is protected by a monitored alarm system, CCTV and controlled access. Our systems have been assessed by a senior security assessor from our insurer and upgraded where needed with the help of an NSI Gold approved installer. Keys are held separately from the vehicles, and access is managed by appointment. The aim is simple: your car is kept somewhere dry, discreet and properly protected, while still being accessible when you need it.

Auto Classica Storage is based just outside Milton Keynes, with straightforward access from the M1, A5 and surrounding counties. For Porsche owners in Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire, Hertfordshire and North London, that makes the facility easy to reach when the car needs to be delivered, collected or prepared for use.

Most owners, though, do not choose us simply because we are local. Many of the cars we look after belong to clients who live elsewhere in the UK, overseas, or split their time between different homes. Some are collectors, some work abroad, and some have a car in the UK but no longer have the right garage space at home. The location matters because it is practical. The relationship matters because the car is valuable, personal and often irreplaceable. We also look after cars for owners who fly in, collect their car and use us as a base for UK and European tours.

We are not Porsche mechanics, and we do not pretend to be; when a car needs specialist servicing, transport, detailing, inspection or preparation, we can help coordinate that sensibly through trusted partners.
