Auto Classica Storage has spent years looking after some of the finest classic cars and supercars in the country, keeping them dry, secure and properly cared for. Owners kept asking the same question: who can we trust to actually work on the car? In August 2026 we have an answer of our own.
Auto Classica Works is a dedicated workshop for combustion-engined cars built between 1948 and the turn of the century. These are cars from an era before screens and software took over, machines with no computer, or at most a basic one, that reward proper mechanical knowledge and a careful pair of hands. If your car has a distributor rather than a dozen control modules, this is a workshop built around it.
We offer mechanical work, servicing, MOT preparation and basic restorative services to existing storage clients and new customers alike. The marques we know best are Porsche, Aston Martin, Land Rover and Jaguar, though we are happy to look at most classics of the period. Whether your car needs routine servicing to keep it sweet, a fault tracing properly, or preparation for the road or the track, it will be treated with the same care we give every car in our storage.
Run By Alfie, Trained Where It Counts
Auto Classica Works is run by Alfie, an experienced, properly trained classic car mechanic. Alfie spent four years learning the trade the right way, completing his apprenticeship through the Heritage Skills Academy, the nationally recognised route into the industry for people who want to work on cars that matter rather than swap parts on modern ones.
During that time he gained invaluable hands-on experience with Export 56, a specialist classic Porsche garage with a serious reputation among collectors and enthusiasts who care deeply about these cars. That grounding, in real workshops on real cars, is exactly the sort of background owners hope for and rarely find. It means your car is in the hands of someone who understands period engineering, works methodically, and treats every job as if the car were his own.
